Oh the memes that have been created this year. We've all heard it, and probably said it, many times:
But as we go into Thanksgiving week, I'd like to challenge you with a question that Brian and I asked ourselves this week. What would it be like if we flipped the script? What if we sat and thought about 2020 in it's entirety, and looked for the good? What would that look like?
Like just about everyone else, the snow globe of our lives was shaken pretty good with the lockdowns and government response to Covid 19. UNLIKE many, however, we did not lose our jobs. We are considered an essential business, and were able to stay open. Yes, business is down because people are driving less, but that has given us the opportunity to have a little more time off than usual. To sleep in a little later, go home a little earlier. We've had the opportunity to be a helping hand to people impacted far more than we are. We've been able to take time to reflect on various areas of our lives, to pray and meditate on what our core values and focus are. We've been able to spend more time together as a family. We have drawn our circle a little smaller and a lot tighter. We have been able to stop worrying about a lot of things that just simply don't matter. And we've learned that what does matter most, are the things that Covid-19 and lockdowns can never take away - our faith, our family, and our freedom.
We wish all of you a very Happy Thanksgiving, and encourage you to spend some time contemplating what there is to be thankful for, in the midst of the chaos.
