What are the Symptoms of a Failing Control Arm Assembly?

A control arm assembly, otherwise known as an A-arm assembly, is a vital part of most passenger vehicles. They essentially link the steering wheel and the chassis of the vehicle, making it possible to steer. However, like all parts on a vehicle, they do wear out and need parts or all of the assembly to be replaced. Over time, the bushings and ball joints that are in the control arm assembly wear out. There are three main signs that your control arm assembly is going out. The first sign that your control arm assembly is failing is vibration, usually felt in the steering wheel as you're driving. The steering wheel will actually shimmy, and the vibrations of the vehicle can be felt in the wheel itself.
